Unconscious or implicit biases are our preferences for one thing over another that form outside our conscious awareness. Often these preferences stem from stereotypes about groups of people that are based on incomplete or inaccurate information. Although bias is often directed at ethnicity and race, it may also exist toward other groups as well: age, gender, gender identity, physical abilities, religion, sexual orientation, and weight. In this webinar we explore how unconscious bias may affect our decisions in and out of work and what we can do to manage it before it manages us. The goal is a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
