What is a VETS-4212 Report?
Federal contractors and subcontractors are required to provide information on the number of employees and new hires they employ who are protected veterans’ during the reporting period.

Who is considered a protected Veteran?
VETS-4212 applies to disabled veterans, veterans who served on active duty in the U.S. military during a war, campaign, or expedition and was awarded a campaign badge, veterans who participated in a U.S. military operation for which an Armed Forced service medal was awarded pursuant to EO 12985, or a recently separated veteran (within 36 months of discharge or release from active duty). -
When is VETS-4212 due?
The filing cycle for VETS-4212 reports is from August 1 to September 30. Reports that are filed outside of this window will be treated as part of the current active filing cycle. -
