Executive Order 14173: Ending Illegal Discrimination and Restoring Merit-Based Opportunity effectively ended most affirmative action plan (AAP) requirements—but not all of them.

Big Changes are Proposed for the OFCCP
Proposed budget cuts for Fiscal Year 2026 aim to dismantle the agency. With the proposed dismantle comes some additional changes:
- Section 503: Enforcement of this requirement is proposed to move under the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)
- VEVRAA: Enforcement of this requirement is proposed to move to Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS)
